Veneno leads Driver’s Championship while GP3 is in Summer Break

Spanish driver Miguel Veneno leads the driver’s championship in GP3 by nearly twice the points of runner-up Constantin Grimminger.

2015 might be the season of Miguel Veneno. Entering during mid-2014 with Status GP, the Spanish driver switched to the aswell Spanish rookie team Campos for 2015. Expectations were set high, despite ART GP dominated the pre-season testing and rookie teams often enough showed that they suffer from a lack of experience. But not in this case.
Winning four out of eight races this season, things are going well for Veneno. Yet the concurrence looks really defenseless against the domination of the Spanish driver. 2nd placed ART GP driver Constantin Grimminger was forced to miss the last round while 3rd placed Koiranen driver Benjamin Röske missed the Austian races because of illness.
But both of them are looking forward to an intense battle with Veneno on track and between each other. ‘I’ll try everything to keep Benjamin behind me while attacking Veneno on track’ stated Grimminger prior to the Spa event on Aug 23rd. Yet for them it’s a long way to go…
